kind of ridiculous, but this is the next project i guess. i am pretty much 60% underwater creatures, so after this i need to change gears.

i literally just stopped and rendered, and i don't blame you if you have no idea what's going on, but i'm excited to explain the function of everything you see...later.

is the top thing gills or mini mouth/filters for the krill? Whats the scale? I like the ears.

top is gills and cooling. no krill for this champ. scale is big, but not set in stone. i'd say at this point, if it was eating a human, and biting down on his corpse like a horse bit (i don't know) then the human would have his head and feet poking out either side of the mouth. or i guess a normal term of measurement would be that the head is like 6-8 feet across? i wouldn't go any smaller than that, but i may decide to scale up significantly

i like it, very interesting design, keep going.

A little hard to give advice in sutch an early stage, only thing i can think of is that you should keep somekind of known anatomy in mind.

thanks. coming back to this guy after a while. so i took off his ear type flaps, i just didn't decide where i was going with them. and i also removed the things i was starting to build on the side of his face there. it was going to be a sort of extendable facial shield/armor type of thing, but it was turning out to be a pain to make.

anyway, here is with those changes with a little orthographic camera pass to see more the general form. i think i'm gonna scrap the layered spine thing i'm working on as well. other than that, this is how it's looking:

here is more of a patched update. i made the head bigger and blimped it more. but i'm thinking of taking down some of the bloat and stuff, and take out one of the tubes in the back, it's placed poorly. i'm also choosing if i want them ribbed, or armored or what. we'll see

as far as jet boosters, ya lol.

i'll work it out, but it's supposed to be partially moved how squids are, with their little intake outake water propulsion. i don't want to say jet propulsion because i don't think that's right, but whatever. it's super late x_x

When I opened this thread I was expecting happy whale instead I get very angry-looking whale. ahaha. I like how it looks like a skeleton almost, in a twisted sort of way.
