The general aim for a portfolio is to display your best work in an instantly accessible form, avoid slow loading content and Flash if you can. It's the art itself that's most important!

I personally use DeviantARTs portfolio system. It's JScript based so it's a little slower than straight-up HTML, but it looks good, and very easy to set up / add to.

If you purchase a domain name and hosting, you can direct it to show your DAPortfolio like I do, again it's a little slow loading but it works ok.
My portfolio is a bad example of what is 'good' since I haven't updated it since setting it up and the images need resizing, sorting etc. But you get the idea of what the DAPortfolio and the domain redirect looks like.

Hope that helps.

Also, if you're looking for a free quick-to-setup site, there's carbonmade.com. I haven't personally used it, but it looks pretty nice and easy to manage.
anyway ,,, here is the link .... feedbacks are most welcome!

Good luck!
In addition to that, I use Wordpress because it lets me know how many people viewed my website each day, what pages, and where they were referred from. It's pretty useful information. For instance I know that 90% of all my traffic comes through polycount lol
