Good chair for 3d AND guitar

For all the fellow guitarists on here what kind of chairs do you use as i've been through quite a few and none of them satisfy both comfort for doing long hours of 3D at the desk and sitting playing guitar.

The main issue for me is the arms to the chairs. I've assembled a few chairs just leaving the arms off but they've literally fallen apart after a few months. I have my guitar right by my desk so I can just pick it up and jam whenever I want however i've yet to find a chair which can accomodate the ease of just jamming and the comfort of sitting on your arse for hours doing work. Any suggestions?

I've got one without arms, it's got a high mesh back and a padded square base. It's not super-high end or anything (I think it was about £50 from IKEA) but it's comfortable enough for long 3D or jamming sessions.

I have a similar chair. I couldn't find one without arms though at the time, so I removed them myself.

I have a chair with arms, but they go down so far that I can play guitar without them getting in the way. When I want to use the pc, I just extend them on up. I think it was purchased at wal mart. I've had it awhile...

I always have to scoot forward in my chair to avoid the arms while I jam. at both home and work..

That's just the kind of chair I want cheers MoP. Out of curiosity, does MoP stand for anything, dunno if your a metallica fan but I always think of master of puppets when I see your sig

@bounchfx - you play guitar at work! Is that a common allowance at game studios or just where you work?

I am a Metallica fan, yes, but MoP has nothing to do with Master of Puppets
