Sharing My Modular Bits

I've been reading through the UDK forums and noticed a lot of people were complaining about the lack of content included with it (ungratefuls). Anyway, in an attempt to help out my fellow programmers and non artistic folk, I've decided to share my hi poly bits so people could use them for baking low poly models. Anyone else who wishes to share their parts, please feel free to. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to post em!

That is one amazing idea. Not only you are helping some people in need of high quality art, but helping others to learn a little more about the low-high poly workflow, as well texturing. Thank you!

No Problem. I think I'm going to start working on some pillars next, with detachable decorations. It's kinda hard to keep this general :P

I was strapped for time today so I'll give you the pillar pieces today and work on the decorations (including some good toppers) within the next few days (spline modeling ftw!)

These are more detailed than the renders show, I'm just so pressed for time, I don't feel like messing with the settings

very cool idea man.
I'm always of the belief it's best to create everything from scratch but i definitley know a bunch of programmers and less artistically inclined designers who would love having this stuff handy

Finished the pillar topper. The arms can be removed and moved around so you can go nuts with changing the look.

Didn't get a chance to 'mess' this up. Zbrush restarts my pc everytime I open it haha

Thanks everyone, I wanted to share this for non artists and even people just starting out. I can remember getting very frustrated and quitting a lot when I first started out. I thought if I gave people some hi poly art to practice baking with, maybe it would take some stress away

Also, its great practice for me to make random props hehe
