Hunter w/ Mount WIP
Ive decided to create a hunter type character. He will use a spear as his main weapon, have a lion as his mount and have a hawk/eagle for scouting. There are a few ways I want to take this guy. So far I have come up with a concept for the spear and have started working on the Lions base mesh. Plz leave crits and suggestions anything constructive is welcome. Thnx in advance.

This will be a male lion but i want to finish the body before moving onto the mane

sweet lion mesh! Are you going for a particular style? It reminds me of the Lion in disney's Aladdin. Love that style. Looking good, it just doesn't read as a realistic lion. But thats cool.
as far as the edge loops go your on the right track. looks like you just need to keep going with it.
The character was a little hard to read, just because of how low poly she was. keep going at it.

@Harry: I hadn't looked there for ideas but if you have any good pics for reference plz post i am still coming up with ideas for the spear

1. Head has gone back to being like simbas
2. Paws are better modeled and look more realistic
3. Front Legs connect to the body better
4. Decreased the size of the teeth
5. Started on the mane and armor pieces

i'm most likely going to change the eyes up a bit make them more sinister as well as the mouth area (might add the fangs back)... any opinions? plz crit thnx
1. the face has been changed a little and this is the final head
2. the mane has been expanded (not done)
3. there are the eyes as seen above (may change if i decide to paint evrything)
4. and i have mostly finished the saddle (it is a treeless saddle so there is no grip in the middle of the seat he will hold onto the hair/back)
5. fangs were shortened again (final)
Time to wash the dishes and get some sleep
