Bouncing ball (in place) - critiques + what's next!

Hey all!

I wanted to share my first proper bouncing ball animation that I've done without any rig.

Would like to get some critiques from you amazing people and kinda direct me in what I can do next aside from bouncing ball across the screen and such :)  i'm planning on doing some variations on the ball bounce animation for sure as well, even just to practice animating with Maya.

I'd like to quickly jump into more fun stuff obviously (like walk/run etc.) and begin to apply 12 principles of animation but also I don't want to jump there too quickly.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!
Andy

Have the inital contact be stretched then to a squash - like this. That way you will get the shape change to make it feel bouncy right now it's strobing.

The Animators survival kit does a good break down on bounces

Took me a minute to understand what you meant but I see it!

I'll make the next one with this in mind, thanks!
