I will be uploading my WIPs and finals here. Feel free to leave a comment or critique. I'm going to be putting up some older work soon just to get things a bit more crowded in here.
Some older work from the previous year. These were done in 2015, though I've retouched some of them to an extent. Managed to incorporate the feedback on the various threads I've posted these guys on.
Fan art of Garona Halforcen from Warcraft. Envisioned her as a fighting game character in Fighters of the Storm, a parody arcade game inside Overwatch's Hanamura stage.
Big thanks to Yekaterina Bourykina for her critiques on the high poly sculpt.
@Bolovorix Thank you. That was a tricky area to work on mostly to balance what looks furry enough, without being too detailed. Especially since Ratchet has short fur strands. Glad it worked out!
So I compiled a process GIF for Ratchet. I also made one for the weapon. Hope it helps anyone looking to handpaint!
Amazing stuff man, your latest Ratchet piece turned out fantastic! I remember seeing The Knight piece before as well and just loving how you handled the metals. Great stuff
Its been too long! Finally finished some personal art. This one is my Cubebrush ArtWar entry, Aya the Gun Witch. Did my own concept this time which was a great change of pace.
I really enjoy this latest character! youve managed to balance the colours and details just right, so often I see stuff thats overdetailed or lacking in expressive colour etc its really hard to do, great to see!
Hey! Here is my latest handpainted personal character, Crownless Red. Recently tried out a different handpainting style similar to those found in a lot of asian MMOs.

@Ged Thanks man!
you did a great job managing the low poly vs detail also.

How did you go about doing the wings? did you bake things down or all handpainted?
@Elithenia No high res sculpt bakes for my latest character, since I didn't sculpt her out. Check out the process gifs i made below.
I used a simple AO bake using the low poly mesh in 3D-Coat, and proceeded to fix the AO and paint from there.
Hope these give insight to how I handpaint!
This is my take on the Viera and Moogle from Final Fantasy XII! Recently finished this for the Retrogasm 2018 art competition.

Very cool to see everyone's take on characters from various retro games. So much nostalgia, check them out!
Textures are fully handpainted, unlit diffuse. Only a rim light is used.Finally compiled all my process breakdowns for my Viera & Moogle piece recently. Hope it helps!
