Black Diamond - Superhero Concept

Hey there, here's a concept of a superhero out of my imagination.
He's meant to be an "ordinary dude" with "normal" proportions (7.5 hds) in his mid-50s.

I was inspired by a vast variety of popular "classic" concepts, where the suits were still made of fabrics and not out of armored pieces, such the Flash, Yellow Jacket, Wolverine, Black Bolt, etc...
I'm still not sure about his "super-powers" and skills, so any suggestions is very much appreciated.

Black Diamond makes me think his skin changes composition that assists with vulnerability and strength.

Also admittedly would think he'd be black.

I get a bit of a Nacho Libre, Kick-Ass vibe. Like an ordinary dad with an overdose of courage and bravery. A character description would indeed help to further develop the character. Great sculpt by the way

Thanks Durkel, the ordinary dude (proportions) is being imperative since the beginning!
I will surely add a character description at the end, but I'd like to tell as much as possible with the model itself.

I suggest in time of struggle to take few min and gather some useful reference , you could start with an actor or someone who have heroic features or comic superhero or even something idealized as Loomis head proportion guy + also check robust or masculine skull

I've gathered some references of Peter Serafinowicz and R.Dean Anderson, but I'd like to have a solid structure to start with...
Does it make sense (could be usefull ?) or I'm wasting my time?

Structure is exactly what you need , everything else will be pointless if you don't have structure, that's why I added skull in the list above , Loomis could help with overall proportion and feature placement also check for planes of the face reference

Few suggestion about how you could proceed , if you mirror front view you will see how he will be looking like if you apply them
