Hey everyone,
Working on a space marine helmet with some missing panels and exposed frame/internals.
I want to make a helmet that looks much more high fidelity while maintaining the iconic shape/first read.
Here's my concept/orthos, I referenced the original models, along with Ted Beargeon's and Mike Hill's work when drawing this. -Also my tablet's driver is broken right now so excuse the wobbly linework.
Ref board for modelling:
I'm not sure if i'll make the final asset truly game ready or not. I think for this one I just want to focus on making nice art, all of my recent projects have been for my degree and have had tight technical restrictions, so i'm thinking it'll be nice to relax a bit and just make something shiny.
Any feedback/crit/ideas please let me know!!
Thanks for looking, I'll update with a blockout model soon

Started on the framework too:
Slow at the moment because of the heat and the nature of these small details.
If anyone has any feedback, especially crit I'd very much appreciate it!
Feel like i'm talking to myself a little here haha
Just the 'ear' section and a few more tweaks and i can move onto the low poly
-Thanks for looking!
Bake by name matching.
Got the texturing done last night. Here are some screengrabs from sketchfab. Is it worth rendering this out in some fancy software? Keyshot or something? If anyone has any tips on that I'd much appreciate it.
