I've been doing alot of modeling lately, and not so much of texturing.
So I decided to make a small project for practice, a flare pistol from ww1, simple enough but it has this old-worn look and variety of substances like brass, wood, copper, iron, cotton paper

Textures look real not over done, and i like the subtle marks and wear you have going on. Good idea on taking a small project and learning some more about the texture process.

Exactly what I have learned from this project. It's always so tempting to keep add more and more details in texturing. When in fact, the subtle details are what make a texture look realistic, and avoiding over done  actually save alot of time.
