I plan on having the Black Dynamite Character's Lip-sync correct but still have Bruce Lee's off but still look more intentional; bad Lip-sync.
Thoughts?
lets pretend the frame rate is not making our eyes bleed ... too much
trying to do some cycles that are not standard symetrical runs and walks..
the walk is not really gonna be a huge part of the game, more of a flare of sorts
gonna have him go into random aim poses each time you press aim (the rest is autoaiming other than player turning to somewhat align with a target)
granted they're not to be seen from the side, but it'd look like I'm hiding something if I just showed them from the back
Edit: Removed the camera and motion blur.
joarwho: Looks like the you have some weird camera movement going on. For this type of animation It's better to have a still camera if you're looking for crits.
heboltz3: Cool idea! Just some suggestions. Is she shooting him in the kneecaps? Either way the zombie could do with more contrast between the two first hits. One suggestion would be that the first arrow is hitting him in the right side and the second in the left side which makes him twist side to side. Or let the first one go to the chest which make a C shape and one goes to the stomach so you can reverse the shape of the spine.
You definitely need to exaggerate drows third draw pose. Widen her stance and and try to create a feeling of tension in her pose.
Lasly you can experiment with give her some hangtime while releasing the last arrow and make her stretch out when falling to the ground.
I did this animation in 25 minutes.

WIP thread is here!
Big up to Theodor Urhed And Per H
These are beautiful, very well done.
That purple orc death is just so fluid and giggly love it! I'd like to see what sort of rig set-up is used to get that sort of motion. Very lovely.
And the little red dragon flying is my favorite, looks like his body is too heavy for his wings, and the struggle he has just completes it.
Very cool work Mattias, I have much to learn
Next up is more realistic animation, and fps animation. New school project here, and we are aiming something like the metro games ^^

started working on a little into for the game..
was thinking of having every act start with him driving up in the car and stepping out of it (close camera on tires, door opening, foot stepping out) ..
this could be sort of the main menu with start game and whatever..
did the same kind of thing for mad max x) just, this didn't need to take 2 months, rather 2 hours
Gifs are great because they load automatically, but for a thread like this... it's counter productive.
Definitely. Maybe Syncsketch could be a good alternative?
sounds... dynamite.(ho ho ho)
But for real, could be a cool Idea! Would be neat if each opening was focused on a different section of his car with some bit of personality. Looking forward to more!
Here's what I've been working on... an MP5K

I'm pretty sure it does... I put one of my own up.
anywayyyyy this looks so awesome man, I love the draw, the reload is cool its exaggerated perfectly for a tf2 anim, the look at is awesome to. Though it be even better with a bit more quirkiness (if that makes sense, I feel like I'm contradicting myself there, but whatever, it looks cool is what I'm trying to say....)

Just something I made in Flash, maybe gonna work through that idea when I get my game done!
been poking around at this animation today using the dragon character from I believe the community rig thread.. don't remember who to credit for the model/textures..
the maya rig was wonkers as the legs didn't plant on the ground, so I moved everything over into motion builder
imagine that the dragon is landing on a clock tower of sorts
Edit: on another note: Anyone here know how to Playblast from Maya with Alpha?

This is just a viewport render of the project, though any advice would be brilliant. (I've made my own Progress thread too where I'll be regularly updating it as of now!) If you guys have any advice it'd be brilliant to hear
All this awesome work is so inspirational.

I would love to see your workflow on this!
Just did a quick blockout for a Knockback/Death animation. Any feedback before I cleanup. I feel that after he hits the floor is a bit wrong. Perhaps its the posing and spacing.
