Hey, yeah that's what I ended up doing, thought you wouldn't reply ! :D Thanks for the detailled explanation and taking your time to redo a model for me, +1 on you !
Looks perfect to me.. :+1: also according context (animation, illustration.. maybe hero shot..? ). ..Maybe only double check the position of the span and the start end of the flaps.. looking at the red white blue circle they may be more "aligned".. ( here using "direct" quads and only a simple bevel.. but i curved the…
You can stop the random colors from the Object Color menu. Here is a rough script that I made to set selected objects to black wire frame and the first material in the Material Editor slot and apply a 50 specularity. macroScript Macro12 category:"DragAndDrop" toolTip:"Gray Spec Material"( $.wirecolor = color 0 0 0…
Try finishing thr rest of the model and leave these small details for the end. You could collapse 1 turbosmooth and use those extra polies to add dthat detail
s6: you've got a bunch of redundant loops there, 1 spit on the side of each rail; and 3 down the center, removing would drop your geo count quite a bit.
What is the best way to model rectangular, sharp inserts on the wall of a curved cylinder? I tried retopo-ing the beveled edges to maintain quads but theres still artifacts? (You dont have to model all three rectangles, only 1 will suffice). Thanks. Wire: Subdiv:
I can't model it in any way at all and I don't understand what modifiers were used for the artifact (this is the object that looks like a tombstone) for stones and for the lantern that is next to the artifact. Just show how you would model it and what modifiers you would use. source with video references (it is in Russian)…
adding to what @Thanez already wrote. you can also simply use a less dense mesh and move these edges to create even space you can also see that i work on 1/4 of the mesh. so less headache
Hi I'm replicating a tarp (red in picture) that's wrapped around a model. I'm a newbie so I don't have a clue how to approach this (it's a plane I believe). I was thinking I could start with 2 curves, 1 profile for the bottom, and 1 for the top, and "loft" them together. Didn't work out though when I tried :( EDIT: whoops,…
