planarity is a new concept for me but while checking the support loops... i realised this deleting the two faces solved the problem. but i guess 8 edges were not enough for the hole, i had to increased the subdiv iteration from 2 to 3.

For the last 2 posts, block in the shapes with separate pieces of geo, then you can try to either model those shapes and intersections directly in the model, or you can try to line up edge loops and geo on the two separate parts and merge them together.
2 methods in modo really 1.
