Last two axes from first post seems to fit best two handed weapon proportions. Third one from second batch also have nice forms. Cant wait to see more.
Thanks everyone for the opinions! I really don't know which ones I'll pick to refine and fix proportions for now. Maybe a few of them? Here's 6 more thumbnails, one kinda fixed from a previous one because it looked like it had a nose!
Thank you guys ^^ I will do some refining on the first and last set #3s. And here's a first of a few color tests! Not really sure if I like a bone blade more, or maybe some kind of dark demonic metal/carapace type blade. With the bone blade I'd have to do more balancing to put more bone color in maybe the handle or bottom part.
Thanks suburbbum! With what you said, I tried just testing something a little more flashy with it, not quite sure if I like it more or not though. :poly122: And maybe it is looking a little too alien and not demonic enough.
I kinda like 1 because the bone at the back looks like it'd support the full force of a swing and take the impact of the upper part of the axe whereas 4 feels like the top part would snap off.
Thanks everyone! I worked on #4 a bit. Hopefully he looks less alien now, and less flimsy than the other too. I still feel like I'm missing something in my designs though. I want him to be a special axe!
colors looks great Kelli! My only suggestion would to really exaggerate those unique forms and negative spaces that makes this thing so awesome on the blade itself, and the jaw bones flaring to the sides. IN concept it would almost feels a little staff-like if the head weren't so large.
Thanks, Brad. I'll work on that next. I made the base mesh, time to start the sculpting! I wanted to see how he'd look in relation to Death before I went any further, so here he is:
Hey! This is looking rad! Make sure to get some nice variation in the contrast of your spec so you can make those nice shapes pop. Cant wait to see the final
This is coming out good, looking forward to the final piece. My only comment would be the handle is a little plain but I understand that at this point in the process there is little you can do to the model itself, but some fancy texture work can spruce it up.

Personally I think 3 the most just because of the odd asymmetrical weighting.
The last two strike my interest heavily!
5th from second could use a slightly bigger blade though..
Ditto on nr4, it seems the most structurally sound.
looking forward to more
