This looks like it will be a lot of fun. I'm super excited to see the movie. I got a bit of work done it over the last few days.

It's sitting at 1018 tri right now, I had to rig her too just to make sure the mesh would look alright in the pose I want. I might do a scene as well, we'll see how much time I can put in over the weekend.

Some texture WIP.

Another update, characters texture is about 70% of the way there. I've got a bit more work to do on the over all shading and the helmet. I was going to try and do a Tali eye effect but that didn't really work out. So I've lost a few tris for the geo I nuked. This should give me a bit more to work with when I finish off the derezzing effect that will happen at her feet. Once she's ready and posed I'm going to work out a small environment bit/stand for her to sit on.

Ah I was wondering what you were doing with the feet. They're 'rezzing in' are they? The helmet looks good - matches the style of the new costumes well.

Yeah they're going to be rezzing in. I through some temp stuff there so people could see what's going on. Hopefully, I'll have an more elaborate effect on it this week.

Small update, just worked out the "derez" stuff. Hopefully I'll have her on the rig tomorrow and posed up and then I can wrap up the texture and get on the environment.

Totally makes me think of FF9 and in general, near end of the life PS1 type textures, though higher quality.

Thanks guys. I've started to work on environment bits here and there. Work has picked up a bit so I don't have a whole lot of free time, but I've got some days off for the holidays! Hopefully I'll have enough done to throw up some screens this weekend.

Here is an small update on the environment, haven't had a whole lot of time to work on this, but it's getting there. I'm hoping to have it all wrapped up before Walking Dead tonight. So here is what I have so far before I head off to lunch.

I'm basing it off of the movie poster. I've got a ways to go with the background so far, most of it is cloudy fx materials and what not. I'm moving to the actual buildings next.

Looks really cool so far, I like the treatment on the legs, this kind of dematerialisation effect is really cool.
My only cirt is maybe for the background who seams just a bit too bright right now, especially on the horizon line.
