Damn Jesse, that is really well done.
Nice to see some breakdowns of how these pieces are done!
Is there a reason why the barrier is all quads?
Seems like in some pieces the use of triangles is kept to a minimum.

Halo has been using lots of decals for a long time, they love higher rez text and detail in decals.

From what i saw in game it was for higher resolution decals so things didn't look naff up close. Which actually worked pretty damn well.

Very cool work. Must've been a blast to work on such a popular title.
