Here goes nothing. Heres some concept redesign for Zyra, with a 'frostbite' theme'. originally i wanted to give her thornlike tentacles but it didnt seem feasible or fit in the LoL world.

UPDATE this is where i am at the moment.

looks like i won't be able to finish this on time for the due date.:( i've had a sudden death in the family, so priority of helping my parents deal with the situation trumps the content. a little sad i can't complete on time...i hope they leave these threads open for a few more weeks anyways

heres some composition sketches i did for the illustration. i wanted to add some story to it... because this redesign is a frostbit zyra, i thought it would be nice to incorporate some LoL lore to the illustration. in this illustration, kumungo jungle has been devastated by ice attacks caused by lissandra the ice witch, who seeks to corrupt nature and bring about an ice age. Unable to fight back the frostbite, zyra adapts to the ice and survives but is devastated at the destruction of kumungu jungle. i wanted her to seem pitiful but also vengeful at the same time.

don't quite like the first composition as it doesnt demonstrate her anger or vengeful emotion...but the second is much better at conveying those emotions, so i think i'll keep tweaking it.

Love it! Great idea. Hmm, I know you're trying to keep the splash screen composition, but I almost wish the dead/frozen flower was in the other hand to keep us focused in the image longer. I think the flower is pivotal for the emotional effect, and you don't want the viewer to leave once they get there.

Anyway great job, keep it up!

I believe that would work pretty well! Right now it's kinda 50-50. I'd say you could either go all icey or perhaps give her normal skin and have just a couple ice shards / veins / whatever coming out here and there.

Personally, I like icey better hahah

UPDATE...decided the change the composition. i think this works much better, less dead space. going to redo the colors as well.

HEY I FORGOT TO POST THIS HERE....but i did actually eventually finished it...haha. too bad not in time for submission, stil pretty happy though, was a great learning experience

the ideia is really cool but the paint have some thing that you can update

the ice is so much cyan, just have one color, try to add more reflections in different colors...

the skin is so dark, try to apply more details and shines, like lether

the face is so bluuuuee try to add more tones of blue pushing to green, or purple

the paint is beautiful but you can continue polishing it!
