[Riot Art Contest] - Riot Gear Leona

Hi All!

I'll be jumping into this contest with a take on SWAT gear for Leona. Riot (the company) already has the ball rolling with their own versions for Singed and Graves, so Leona kind of makes sense to me since she's all about the shield.

Plus I like the idea of Leona with sunglasses.

LOL. I can see her in this outfit. Instead of the sword, she has a baton. Looking forward to see her in this.

mmm, working out the kinks. Working out the kinks in Zbrush. Actually not sure if I should stick with the coat or not. On one hand, looks kinda badass, but seems less...SWAT-ish?

I love this idea and you have some nice shapes in your design. Keep the coat you need the fabric trailing fro her waist like it does with the base Skin. i would get rid of the plastic ties. She wont be using them, so save the polys and texture space, and it'll just be noise at game viewing distance. Loose the shades, lets not hide her purdy face.

Thanks guys! Will probably keep the shades since that's consistent with all their Riot-gear characters. Still refining as we go, i'll post more when I get the boots and coat worked out.

Decided to change the shield since it was a bit boring. I like tower shields, but not really a very interesting shape. I went back and forth on the baton a few times but I stuck with something kinda basic. Everything else I came with ended up being too gimmicky. On to baking tomorrow!

I used yours as a quality bar, it was so good :O

Went back and reworked the shield to a slightly different color scheme to up the contrast. Actually ended up like an old design I wrote off, but works better in color. Xin Zhao's is there as reference for level of saturation & brightness, but I'm somewhere between the new skins and the old Riot ones (Kayle).

Time to rig!

Excellent work. It's a really fitting skin for Leona.
Only suggestion would be to make her ability aura blue tinted instead of the original yellow.

Great job, one of my favorites!
