Hi Everyone!
I made a Majoras Mask as part of a collaboration for a new Majoras Mask Album my buddy is working on, and for this sweet website here:
http://terriblefate.com/Let the countdown begin!
I modeled it purely Sub-D in 3dsmax first then brought it over to Zbrush to put in the wood damage. Then I colored it entirely in photoshop. Renderman was used to render it. I Modeled it as a Cinematic asset, so its 20k polys and is rendered with displacement maps.
I had a blast modeling it, I had many nights working on it while in a polycount google+ hangout chat. It was really fun talking with everyone whilst working on this! Really made the time fly by
Now to get to the wires n' such!
Wires:
Sculpt:
Color in Max:
Textures (I used 2x2048's, heres the first):
I hope you guys like it! I had a blast making it!

And thanks for the new wallpaper:D
lol,
Nice, I prefer the realtime view as apposed to the top render, eyes have too much of a weird melted plastic look, like a cheap overlay in photoshop. Which takes away from alot of the good effort you've put in.
Oh! and were getting pretty high on the zelda thread:

Pages and people are reposting the site like crazy on Facebook
They love the mask
Yus!
I've been listening to it ever since it was posted, is great to work to!
The mask itself is great too, I recently replayed MM and it was amazing, I could never get into it when it came out, but it really is up there in my favorite games of all time!
I'd like to request something though unless it's too much of a hazzle for you. I'd love it if you could release an animated .avi file or just the separate animated sequences as displayed on http://www.terriblefate.com/ and I can just compile them into an .avi file myself.
I was hoping on using Dreamscene to apply an animated version of the mask on my desktop, it's truly mesmerizing how the eyes slightly glow and embers subtly fly around behind the mask.
The inside and the bottom row of spikes?
I can't believe the shear beauty of this...
The facebook page and website are blowing up!
@Bug, I'm not exactly sure how they got it on the website like that, I think its a gif or something. I'll ask and see if I can get the file of it.
@Avanthera: the 2nd 2048 was for the rest of the side horns and the back parts of the mask.
Oh! more wallpapers!

@Bug , we just released this: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5zFnGRaO0E"]Theophany - Lovers Mask (Time's End) - YouTube[/ame]
that has the flickering and particles in the video, so you could probably just nab that and turn it into whatever you want. Make sure you 1080p it to get the best quality.
music is cool aswell
