Looking for: 3D Character modeller for Unity game

promo3.jpgpromo3.jpgpromo3.jpgmi0uwh.jpg
Project Sheen is a dynamic turn based, fantasy RPG. The player takes control of a small fighting force as they battle their way through cities and across continents. Each character class will be upgradable, with diverging progression trees. The primary focus is a real character driven narrative, each having a unique personality and something to contribute in and out of battle.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a 3D Character Modeller to produce five 3D Models, relatively low poly (around 3.5k), textured and if at all possible, rigged. Turnaround for each model should ideally be two weeks including revisions. For the models combined we are looking to pay around $500, $50 up front per model and $50 per completion of each.

If you think you have the experience, please send us a link to your portfolio.
The project is being designed with Unity and we already have a small team together including Coders, Artists, Animators, Writers, 3D Modellers and a Composer.

The prototype is well under way, for more information on story, characters and mechanics can be given on request.

We are looking for people who are passionate about the genre and who have fond memories of Shining Force, Disgaea, Final Fantasy tactics etc.

Any questions on the art style are welcome.

    2 weeks, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. per model.

is 80 hours. you're offering to pay $500 for 80 hours work, that's $6.25 per hour.

    that's less than minimum wage.

    just sayin'

remember that when you pay peanuts, you'll more often than not, get monkeys.

If it takes you 2weeks to do one character model you might wanna find a new hobby....

Just sayin. Some ppl can't afford your studio rates at studio time frames so I'm sure the ppl that want the work will easily churn it out, no biggie, just to pay some bills and add to their reels.

Depending on the model 2 weeks at 40 hours a week is not unreasonable for some very high detailed models. For 3.5k, well that's a different story, but still paying $100 for a 3.5k character model is more than a bit low and the point made is valid. You get what you pay for to a certain extend and if you are paying well under 1/2 what something like this is worth to a competent modeler you're going to get some pretty questionable quality in return
