Meditating Insectoid

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on here so I figured I would share my latest personal piece for starters. Its is a meditating insectoid alien I have had in my mind for a while now (also been sitting unfinished on my hard drive for a while) but I downloaded the latest version of the CryEngine and thought it was finally time to share this piece. You may have seen it on other 3D forums already... Hope you enjoy!
Sculpted, textured in Zbrush. Rendered in CryEngine 3. Some raw texture compiling in Photoshop. Base mesh modeled and posed in Maya at 15200 polygons.

I was aiming for an overall nice render but if it takes away from my character you are all probably right, I could tone the brightness down or something like that in the background. I just wanted to make sure it was setting an obvious psychedelic mood. I pictured him as sort of a guardian to some spiritual journey leading the way on a lotus flower through a kaleidoscope of colors!
