Hi all - there's probably an easy answer to this but I haven't been able to hunt it out.  I select a face of my editable poly it goes red - this is good, I need an indication of what's selected; my question is if it's possible to make this red 50% transparent so I can still see the diagram behind it? im using now max 7 i recently change the display drivers to opengl

before was the selected face transparent ( software tic )

after i change to opengl or even direct3d  the red go darker and no transparent

any help with this plz ,, thanks !

Or better yet, you can create an animated material by keyframing the opacity channl with different levels of opacity and use the next/previous keyframes hotkeys to cycle through.
