I decided to start a new thread for this project.

My website is old as dirt. It's time to get some new stuff up there. After Darksiders II Ships, I'm going to wipe my old site* (including all the old content) and put up all new stuff starting from the first Darksiders to present. *I might archive it.

To help with this, I have a little project planned out. I'm going to make a series of avatars. They will be framed animated busts similar to the character load screen in Dota 2. My hope is that by doing small pieces of art (not complete characters) I'll be able get a lot of ideas out quickly and have a "finished" cross-section of art.

Here is the final sculpt for the first one.

This "Psyclops" is loosely based on a concept I did a few years back http://cghub.com/images/view/139230

This started as a cube and DynaMesh. Once I had it roughly the way I wanted it, I retopo'd it and projected the base details to the new mesh. From there I did the final detailing.

My next step is to start on the game-res model. I'll post progress as I go.
