Zbrush, where to start?

so i think its about time i get going on zbrush, been putting it off for too long.

can anyone recomend a good video series to get started, free or pay?

mainly looking to use it for hard surface stuff. I've been using mudbox since v1 but the feature set just doesnt seem to be catching up to zbrush

I'd start with the included documentation (especially the getting started pdf). The zclassroom used to have some good training videos, but the last time I was there it seemed to be reworked and focused more on just showing how to use the newer features. As far as paying goes, you could try Lynda, Digital Tutors, Eat3D (they have some good ones), and perhaps a one-month subscription to zbrushworkshops.com

When I started I just played with every brush, found out what each of them did, then I hit up zbrushclassroom and watched all those videos. I had a pretty good understanding after going through that whole series. Also youtube is a great spot I visit from time to time, even though a lot of it just speed sculpts, I learn a lot.
