Maya in 3d without Quadro?

Anyone ( know of/ can share ) a directX window/panel plug-in for Maya that supports "active" 3d.
yer kung-fu rulez coupon: good for one custom model or script of your choosing.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea...
But I have found to support 3d it is best to preview the result in 3d.
That involves having to consult the models in engine or rendered. I find the anaglyph view kind of depressing ( better than nothing I suppose ).

The ideal solution would be to view the objects interactively while building them and preferably using the same hardware as the end-user ( 3d-vision ).

I am hoping since the api for directX is easier now that someone might have bypassed the quadro requirement???
