How to move in image from desktoop into Photoshop

Hi there,
I have 2 monitors on one i have Photoshop open the other i have a texture folder on my desktop open.
I grab and drag a texture and move it across to drop into Photoshop but it will not.
At my last studio i could do this without a problem.
I am using Vista business and Adobe Photoshop CS3 would bre grateful for any solutions

Run PS as administrator and it should work. I think.

thanks nullfed but you need to UNCHECK run as Administrator.
