So I'm working on some mountains and playing around with vertex lighting. Once I get it looking the way I want I go to utilities and assign vertex colors.
After I do this Max automatically applies a VertexPaint modifier to the object I baked. This allows me to use VertexPaint's HSV tools.
However when I collapse the modifier stack and then re-apply the vertex paint modifier manually it no longer allows me to use the HSV tools (under adjust color) I am only able to adjust hue saturation and value immediately after a bake. Once I collapse it, the tools become useless.
Extremely frustrating. Anyone know how I can reapply the vertex modifier and use the HSV tools without having to rebake the whole thing?
