Mistry's Texture Workflow w/Video


Hey guys, this is a 45min presentation that i did in class a few weeks ago. I talk about my Texture workflow, tools, process and stuff like that. I'm sure everyone who watches it will learn or find something new and cool. I also talk about enhancing renders specifically my WW2 set "Normandy 1944". Elements and Principles of Design, Tools, Texture Workflow, and Normal Maps .The video is divided up into 3 parts. There is the link to the video and i've also provided a link to a 283 mb zip file, which includes the tools, texture maps, and a few more cool things. So hopefully you guys can take the time to check it out ! Feel free to drop a comment or question !

Watched the first one, interesting stuff. Good for beginners/intermediate users. You did go pretty fast though, but I guess ppl can always rewind/pause the video.

Thanks, yeah it was fast. It was my first time presenting, so i guess i'll learn from my mistakes.

Just finished watching it all, I was amazed that you use exactly the same workflow for baking / texturing as me.

Glad you watched the video bud, the only reason the video was dark was because i was lecturing to the class. My next video tutorial will be on lighting, and will be a screen captured.

wait, your real name is Hiten Mistry? or is that an alias.

if it is, that's either like Heighten Mystery, or "Hit and Miss" is included in the first part of your name. and ironically it would be ended with "try." so whether or not you "hit or miss" you should still "try." x_x

Hey Mistry i was wondering, you mentioned you did a PDF document of all the shortcut keys in Photoshop, or something, do you know where i can get a copy?

You need to download the 300mb rar file, the link is on the same page as the video.

Aye i downloaded it as i was watching, it's got some awesome stuff in, but no PDF on shortcuts in photoshop, it's no problem, was just wondering is all ^^;

Yep, knowing the PS hotkeys is important for a fast and effective workflow. it's a bit tedious having to go to the list, see what it actually does, bla bla, but in the long run, it's worth it.

For sure, i'm getting myself around Unreal too, and shortcuts help ALOT in that engine.

Hey Mistry, thanks for sharing that lecture. Just what I needed right now as I'm having some texturing issues and there were some good pointers in there for how best approach it.
