well im working on some DS stuff and it would be quite nice if someone has an idea how to render passes without actual edge anti aliasing. mainly to ease masking colorkeys and stuff.

the max manual didint really help at all - but at least I now know thats actually intended, for whatever reason...
Note: When using the default scanline renderer, Antialiasing must be on in order to render elements. With Antialiasing off, rendering elements is disabled.

When on, applies the active antialiasing filter to the rendered element. When off, the rendered element does not use the antialiasing filter. Default=on.

Note: Turning off Enable Filter disables only general antialiasing and map filtering. Edge blending still occurs when this switch is off.
well, maybe I'm just too stupid or something - any ideas?

thankies.

Major necro here, but I'd like to know this as well.  I'm getting really jagged edges on my flat object ID/color passes.  The only workaround so far is to re-render the scene in scanline mode.
