I'm a huge transformers nut and was a bit
(especially at first) that the TFs in the movie looked so little like they used to.
So I tried my best to get two fan favourites done in a respectful, yet updated manner.
Also working with torquato on a body for Shockers' head.
Shoddy 8very quickly done) SW head animation:

(gets hopefully the idea across that he should retain his iconic voice)

i really, really like it
I hope you full body them. that'd be epic!
and I've always really liked Shockwave. He's totally underrated
soulstice: Sorry, but you won't see any models from me as I can't model. They're just paintings. I'm currently working on a body for Shockwave but it will take some time before I can show it here.
notman: Sorry, I'm not working on the TF movie. It was always one of those properties I wanted to work on but others were quicker. Sucks to be too young.
a full painting would be great, and would make an awesome concept piece to model from.
i feel stupid and shocked.
I might do a complete Soundwave from the front though as simple character sheet, maybe then someone will wanna model it. The only thing that didn't make me do it was that i can't be arsed to think about an ultra-complex transformation sequence. *shame*
I always planned to learn to model but I was always too busy or lazy.
And I'm happy that you thought these were 3d sculpts as I heard from two others that the paintings looked rather flat and "lifeless".
A lil turoial on how i did Shocker's head details (and yep, it took me like 10 minutes - quick way to do scratches if you have a lot of space).
Thanks for sharing, and its pretty much useful for me atm for stuff i;m working on, so double thx
Pretty nice ideas
Dig it
And Per, that was probably my favorite TF comic cover... for its time and compared to the art quality inside the comics it was inhumanly cool for a 10 year old
