Couldn't decide whether to make a new thread just for this, but obviously I came to some conclusion. hehe.



I'm working on this design. I believe it's for a tattoo that I'll be getting. It's major WIP right now, as I still haven't "fleshed" out where the thing is going to start. It's a chest piece. Invision the skull resting just on the sternum. I think the top arms are going to be "tearing" out of the collar bone or something, but I'll figure that out later.

When it's all done, the skull will be hanging from cables wrapped around it, suspending from the TV sets at the top. Also, the TV's will read "4 0 4".

My goal is to finish up this version and pass it to another artist and have them redo it in their own vision. (any takers? ) I don't trust myself enough to get something I've done directly inked on my body. I'd hate it a week later.

Comments, crits anyone?

Slum, that sounds like a great idea, and I like that start you've got. I'm just a bit curious as to where you would get this done? Hopefully you know a good tattoo artist that you can trust to do it justice?

Anyway.. very much looking forward to what you'll do with it.

404 sounds like something you would regret having tatooed on you if you want it to make any sense years down the road.

my advice is do not tatoo that on yourself especially on your chest- unless somehow you've already covered yourself with tat's and thats the only space youve got left.

Personally if I was to get a tatoo this big, it would go on my back. that way I can look at it if I want to, but if I get sick of it, I am not stuck looking at it every day in the shower. I'm not saying your design sucks and you won't like it 10 years from now, I think its cool, kind of wierd but cool. I always try to keep a "what if" mentality when talking about tats. Because you have them for so long those what if's tend to come true.

You might want to get a temp tatoo or get it blocked out in sharpie and see how you like it the next day before getting that much ink done. Or you can take a pic of your bare chest and do some photochoppery.

Also be mindful of parts that get saggy as you get older nothing worse than a kick ass tat being ruined by wrinkles, fat or saggy skin due to weight loss. This isn't so much an issue with tiny tats but huge ones that cover a large amount of skin can be ruined by it.

Yeah, I'm fully aware of all the negative points. I haven't decided if I'm actually getting this done or not. Hell, I dont know if I'll even like it when it's done. It's too early to tell what the final design will look like.

I'll have another update on this tomorrow or so.

I decided I wasn't too keen on the original concept I came up with. So, just to fiddle around I started this little doodle.

Still major WIP. Very much inspired by the final level of Doom 2.

Ok im just say'n, if I was at the city pool or raging waters and I saw a dude with either of these tatoos on his body, I'd be like "damn he fuct up his skin."

Ha. I agree. I no longer have a desire for this as a tattoo. The latest incarnation here is just a doodle, its not going anywhere or anything.

i have no problems with tats, and i don't believe tats have to be some deep meaning thing, but i do believe it needs to be soemthing you can live with, and tho it seems like it now, you won't be moody evil goth man forever, so reconsider

poop: Sure don't. I had one up a while ago, but I took it down because I think it hurts me more than helps . As soon as I get some hosting I hope to get something together. What service do you use? I know you've got a ton of bandwidth and storage.

I like the new skull design as well, possibly have some thin tattered wires and hooks coming out of the mouth? The skull could be held up by razor wires that wrap around the TVs/TV bases like spider webs, garbled static images on the screens?
