i now venture into q4 land! A test model, with horrible arm and foot deformation because i did not paint any weights. at all
had to replace corpse to make this work.
putting models in q4 using blender is the easiest thing ever (in my experience) so this means alot of normal mapped cheapy goodness
Why does this have a normal map? That doesnt make any sense. I cannot say I'm thrilled with the way you go about posting things. "the crap is this" "did this in 5 hours" "didnt paint any weights"
Do you try and not put in an appropriate amount of effort? Or do you just forget that people's perception of you from posts spills into the real world? Stop pre-emptively discrediting yourself.
probably because brak was only thrown in for a test. he's a hl1 model ffs and he needs a normal map to be lit in the game, so i whipped one up in the gimp to test with, to learn how to get models working from blender into quake4. practice doesn't hurt, no?
as for the word "crap", I refer anything good or bad as that and i feel like randomly modeling things so i'll stick it to one thread for it instead of 50.
yeah, this is all from blender 2.36 (fraid of 2.40 atm) using der_ton's scripts. Imported the corpse w/ skeleton, deleted corpse, rigged brak to it, and exported. Done.
