[RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017] Character Art - Star Guardian Ashe

Hey folks, 

I'm gonna make a Star Guardian skin for Ashe, mainly because I think the theme is hilarious and they look pretty cool   I started a few days ago, and have gotten some decent progress in over the break.  This first post will be the references.

Got some concepts going with some different outfit directions.  Mostly exploring the outfit shape and hair silhouette from a game perspective.  I didn't do this during the last contest and I think the design ended up darker than I wanted. 

As you can see, it's mostly some outfit top changes and hair iterations.  It came down to a bob cut with a tail, or the spiral-type hair (because lulz).  I couldn't get the ponytail to work with a bob since the hair wouldn't flow in a satisfactory way; plus Amethyst Ashe already has similar short hair, so I ended up going with the spirals.

Trying a few color passes to see what works.  I'm leaning towards the white hair but both seem like they could work.  I'll probably start working on the bow soon, but I'm not sure if I'll add a quiver.

Finalizing the details; I think anything else I'll probably just paint in.

Mostly done on the painting - I noodled around on the bow for a long time, then changed the dress based on some suggestions.  Instead of two ribbons I changed it to kind of like a long coat.  

On to rigging, but I'll probably do a final painting pass to fix any other issues that pop up.
