Answered: Some feedback and requests

Hello,

I wanted to post a few requests on FB page but that's not the proper place so I thought I'd collect the feedback/requests and post them here.

Bridge
1. Manually re-arrange the assets position in the library based on personal preference. Basically, putting assets of the same theme next to each other instead of seeing newest first. This would make life much easier.
2. Create new groups for selected assets.
3. Asset thumbnails load somewhat slow every time bridge starts or navigates to new page. Maybe caching them would make it much faster.

Site
1. Would be cool to see the material scan size as we hover on thumbnails.
2. Tiled view for materials (already confirmed). Just leaving it here for others to know.
3. Favorite/Acquired signs are somewhat small. Might be just me.

Surface and 3D asset sizes
1. Most recent surfaces cover less than 1x1m. Some are as small as 0.25x0.25m which makes them extremely hard to use given the they'd be tiled 4-6 times within a 2x2m area. For instance: https://megascans.se/assets/rlmuyep0
I know this is probably due to scanner size itself and nothing else. Just suggesting the more surface coverage, the better, specially since ground materials are naturally meant to be tiled on the ground so the more scan coverage the better. I'd move mountains to have original 2x2 scans. :P

2. Majority of 3D assets are very small. For example, see the scale on these:
https://megascans.se/assets/rjznD
https://megascans.se/assets/rkiwf
https://megascans.se/assets/rcwwx
https://megascans.se/assets/rcnvF
https://megascans.se/assets/rbycT
etc.
And there's nothing wrong with that but, there's almost no rocks of larger size on the whole library i.e:
https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/a0/7b/c6/desert-rock-formations.jpg
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2f/Balanced_Rock.jpg/1200px-Balanced_Rock.jpg
The only large ones are scans like this: https://megascans.se/assets/rcygo which aren't quite useful for game environments. (There's nothing wrong with that either). I'm just suggesting while about 95% of assets are that small, some medium and large scale assets would add a lot to the library because as you know scaling up the small ones too much breaks the immersion as all the little details i.e moss also get scaled up with it so we're usually pretty limited there.

I wouldn't make any requests about Studio because I know lots of feedback has been provided and collected about that.
Thanks for reading. :)
