Sci-fi robot concepting and modelling practise.
Hi to all !
I decided to practice my skills in hard surface modelling, as well as a concepting such regular things in nowadays as robots and started with some proportional sketches in Zbrush:
also have to realize some strange ideas:
and I decided to stop at this one sketch in such more classical robot style with strange looking block out of the weapon:
with more detalization, than it needs.

working with next part of my plan: wrist . That is the most difficult ,in my opinion, cuz you have to balance with design and predetermined functionalyty. So I started with some Zrush definition of main parts:
from this point went to Maya to bring detalization to next lvl:
but , suddenly, bringing all together , I realized that I see the face in my robo wrist. And the main thing is that the face is cranky(( , have to rework this part. When you started o see the face in nonface area , you have to rework it!

I'm curious, what do you use Moi3d for usually?
Moi3d I use mostly for simple cut out shapes and different cylindrical forms to speed up a little bit . Almost every cylindrical shape on this robot done with MOI.)
