Tiling Technique for Large Enviroments

Hi All,

I've mostly been working on the traditional workflow of baking textures but I saw a few people mention the tiling technique for large environments, similar to star citizen. I understand the general idea but was wondering if anyone had any tutorials, paid or not, that go into detail about the process. I intend to use it to create a modular sci fi interior and was hoping to try and use more polygons vs textures and this seems to be the best approach. Any links, advice, tutorials would be greatly appreciated!
