Hello all! This is my first time posting in these forums so excuse me if I've done something wrong and please delete if it doesn't belong here! Anyways, my name is tickles and I will be posting progress on my current work in progress which is to be my first ever fully completed character sculpt and my first time sculpting a male. At this point I am still blocking out the main landmarks! I'd really appreciate any tips on anatomy (particularly when it comes to the face as I am having trouble with the eyelids, nose and lips, and legs/buttocks), as well as anything else you see that could use some improvement. Help me as I go along on my journey to improve :^) Thanks!
Step 1 is to gather up and show the reference you've collected - imo you should focus on skeletal anatomy first then move to muscles - finally surface details (how the bones and muscles present under the skin)
Doing an ecorche study is a lot of work but will get you lightyears ahead of most beginners: Here's one of the best - https://gumroad.com/grassetti
This may be a ridiculous question but, by that do you mean I should model a skeleton, then subsequently muscles but on the same sculpt? As opposed to a project thats a skeleton, then one thats the muscle system and finally a fully completed person? Also, thanks a ton for that link! I'll def be checking that out; cheers~
