Hi everyone, I am now working on another prop for my scene. This time it's a mirror. So I chose these 2 images as reference :
Image 1 : I liked the base shape from this photo and the small hand sculpted details.
Image 2 : I like this piece because of the ornaments that sit on the frame.
So this is what I did as a base mesh in Maya. For the decorative detail I just used duplicate special, the detail will then go into the normal map in the bake. Next is zbrush.

VERY IMPORTANT ! Always credit the artist whos work you've used, so with that said :
I used Jonnas Ronnegard ( JRO - 55 Ornament Brushes/Alphas Vol 1) : https://gumroad.com/environmentdesign# to create the ornaments.
Simply apply the alpha on the maskPen brush and use drag rect as the stroke. Inverse the mask and move with transpose line, and then polish until you get the desired result.
Amazing quality on the brushes made by Jonnas Ronnegard : https://www.artstation.com/artist/jronn
Next step is retopo in Maya and UVs.
Top ornaments, the middle one ofcourse is mirrored.
Bot ornaments. The same applies here for the middle one, it is mirrored to save UV space.
And speaking of UVs , here they are all layered out. Ready to texture it.
Final result after texturing in Substance Painter.
