Sup, I'm in the process of making this gas station and I thought I'd get a thread up for it.
Recent, story being finalised now.

Old Media:
Super early days, not much too show yet, just though I'd get the ball rollin' from the start.

Volumetric lighting is some go౦ԁ sHit
New pumps are in.
Unreal thought it would be funny to remove my lighting level, so I fought back.
Small updates today, mostly engine side & cleanup.
This one is much more imposing, and a lot bigger than yours. I think stuff like your bin, which might be a tad oversized is making your scene feel really small. Or if you wanted to keep the station kinda hick this one had pretty interesting atmosphere,
What are you planning to do with this scene, what kind of story do you want to tell with it? Whats the atmosphere, eg do you want it to be a scene in a detective game or apocalypse, or a shoot up? I think changing the Ice bucket to a newspaper stand might be a good opportunity for some environmental storytelling aswell, it seems out of place that its there, aren't they found at motels? Nice work so far! Keep it up!
I did a quick adjustment to the height of it based on what you guys said, I added a size reference as well so you can see it in proportion. It makes more sense proportionally but it's missing some of the coziness of the other one, maybe I'm just being stubborn though.
As for the ice box, they do appear in gas stations, and for story; I'm still thinking that through in my head, I'm trying to get a Stalenhag vibe going, I'll develop that as I go along though.
Did a little cinematic test, been updating the shopfront facade as well recently, the ground material now occludes raindrops properly & we have ground decals for the floor! Small stuff, but it's getting there. Next thing will definitely be the sidewalk areas, as I've completely neglected them.
Another angle that needs a large amount done to it.
There are a few gas stations just like this by my house if you'd like me to send you some closeup references.
Also thank you EEEnt_OFFICIAL
Here's a higher res image for today.
Got distracted by Metro 2033/Last Light, so I'm back.

I tracked my progression as well.
Here's the difficult part now, I've been concepting/mockup up some worldbuilding to the scene, I have a few assets pending to add to tell the story, but I'm trying to sell the background now, instead of just being a void. I said initially a stalenhag vibe was what I was going for, so here's the initial stages.
Excuse the shitty quality in the image, I'm still concepting the feel.
