The Producer’s primary responsibility is to be the main point of contact for the client on their assigned show, and to manage the schedule and budget of the project. They are responsible for collaborating with the VFX Supervisor and VP of Production in resource planning, preproduction planning/show setup, and executing the show’s scope of work to completion while maintaining productivity and hitting budgetary goals. Additionally, they are responsible for providing consistent and accurate production reports to both clients and executive management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Partners with the VFX Supervisors in pre-production planning to map out an efficient roadmap for every shot and tracks these shots to completion.
-Facilitates client reviews and ensures creative feedback is interpreted clearly; manages internal and client iterations and protects the business.
-Keeps an eye on labor actuals against bids in order to proactively manage production budgets and maximize profitability.
-Provides weekly production reporting to executive management including schedule/budgetary progress and qualitative info on overall show successes and areas of improvement.
-Creates production reporting templates as requested by our studio clients on overall show status.
-Ensures schedule compliance across teams through constant communication with production and creative keys.
-Works with and facilitates communication between multiple vendors on a show.
-Oversees development of the most effective reporting tools and helps facilitate consistent reporting techniques.
-Responsible for tracking show financials, including invoices, PO’s, change orders, etc. and providing internal bids for buy-off by executive management when requested by clients. Provides updates to corporate finance on billing status against contracted billing milestones.
-Works with Production team and department managers to allocate resources efficiently both internally and with overseas vendors, and helps give feedback to capacity planning.
-Manages the Show Coordinator and VFX Coordinator assigned to the project.


Qualifications:

-5+ years’ experience in VFX Production Management.
-Use of shot tracking/database management, and strong Excel/MS Office skills are required.
-General understanding of VFX Compositing processes and terminology.
-Bachelor’s degree in Production-related field preferred.
-Strong oral/written communication required.
-Must have a flexible schedule- ability to work O/T or weekends based on production schedule.

Working conditions:

-Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position for the majority (up to approximately 80%) of a shift

-Must be able to use hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office machinery

-Will be working in a low-lit environment, and may be subject to eye strain
