Round Corners with Maya 2017

Hey guys!

Im looking for a way to render round corners in Maya 2017 since they have removed mia_roundcorners when they switched to Arnold. I've not been able to find a way of achieving this and was hoping someone here had a solution to my problem?

In the end I want to be able to render it out to a normal map instead of building a highpoly. I know this feature exists in other programs such as e.g. Modo but im not willing to switch to a different 3D package just for that feature.

I asked the same question on the Autodesk forum but did not really get any good answers except that if it was important to me I should switch to Vray or Redshift which is not a viable solution. I was also told that the tech was under a patent which is strange since most other renderers/3D softwares have a solution for this.
