How to disable symmetry in Maya 2017?

How to disable this?
Pressing W and holding it down and same time pressing left mouse button and mooving it up a bit opens up symmetry option and it seems to be off.
Also when i go to Edit >> Duplicate Special (clicking the box behind the name) opens up settings for that
And it is not in minus and i tried also resting it,
What i have activated is snap to grid
and selected vertex selection

Here is how you do it.
1) Hold right click on the object and move to "Object Mode".
2) Drag and select both of the objects.
3) On the top of your screen, look for "Mesh".
4) Click on "Combine".
5) Click on "Mesh" again.
6) Click on "Seperate".
That should do the trick. No more mirror/symmetry select!
