In a nutshell from what I understand and to save you reading a 100 page government document…..:P
In the UK scholarships for small medium enterprises (SME) get paid for by the government. If you are larger than a SME (3 million gross) then the company will pay a tax which goes directly into funding the SME scholarship. It’s a clever idea and I am sure would have been talked about a lot more if it wasn't for Brexit taking up everyone's time.
And in more good news, I have been informed that in Germany the government will pay for your Internship if you are a student.
Lots of interns for 2020 posted on this Google Doc, remember it has to be a professional paid internship or its illegal, well in the UK anyway.
