hi, I have being working on this model from last month. I modeled it using Rhino. The modeling part is done, next step is retop it and texture. Ultimatly, it should be a game ready model and added to my portfolio. I will update each step I do, please let me know if things not being done right.
Looks good! The only major thing that sticks out is that the high poly's edges are quite sharp but this tends to happen when you use NURBS models as high polies. Not sure what you could do about it - maybe using Zbrush to soften the high poly edges?
I really appreciated the feedback from your guy! I almost gave it up in the modeling stage due to the complexity of DSLR body. It was most difficult prop I ever modeled. Both of your guys mentioned that the edge is too sharp. Can you point me where the area you talk about? I filleted the edge according to the camera. For the sharp edge, I will also try Rhino's ApplyEdgeSoftening command next time. I have no used Zbrush this time.

Like Hans said, the Edges are toooo Sharp to have a good Normal Bake out of it.
Yeah, maybe Dynamesh/ClayPolish/Polish workflow could soften this edges.
And for the UVs, they look a bit dirty, i would pack the whole DSLR in 1 UV Layout.
But for the rest, cool work!
