UE4 Pack textures and materials (like in Ark - Survival Evolved)

Hi there,

if you get the ark content then you are able to mod all the suff. But the raw data like textures and materials are covered. For example you can see and use the materials but you cant open them to see the single textures and so on. I'm searching for this method to send another one my "editor" file but keep all the single textures and objectes covered so that they cant be used for other purposes.

    I don't know if they use a type of packaging or something that users aren't meant to be opening, but you could try the standard .uasset file. Everything you import into the Content Browser is converted to a .uasset in the project's folder. You can pass those around without having to give the source texture or model, but nothing is stopping them from exporting the .uasset out from the editor.
