Maya Multi Cut Tool problem

Hey Maya users,
Im having an issue which i cant figure out how to solve, somehow my multi cut tool isn't working correctly, it no longer snaps to vertices, I can tell when the behavior changes when the first point is orange. Has anyone experienced this? Know of any fixes?
