Started working in Zbrush for some time, did a wooden board kinda object. I'm not sure whether it's good or not, so try to suggest what should be done to refine it. Critique Appreciated
Looks pretty good man but i would add some more difference in height in the wood yours still looks pretty flat. If you look at this image you clearly see that wood has a lot of height difference. For the edges i would say that they look realy soft and jelly (sorry don't know the right word but i hope that you know what i mean). I would try to get a rougher look but i'm not sure about it, i never really looked at the sides of wood. I would try to gather some good reference for them before you sculpt any more.
I would recommend trying to make the knots on your wood more natural looking. Yours looks unnaturally raised and out of place at least to me - especially because there's only one.
Point Noted guys, thanks for responding. For that branch cut, it was about to look unnatural since I just sped it up there. But now I know what to do and what to avoid. Appreciated you checked the piece - WHO CHECKS BEGINNER SCULPT THESE DAYS, XD. Everyone feels like a PRO.
Tried to some study sculpt. Better way would be to grab cool alpha maps and speed up the final sculpt I'll do later, so won't be wasting time and see improvements gradually. Tell me what you think of the changes I made, looking forward to improve on these ones
Thanks mate, still I need to study on daily bases. When to add details, what passes are necessary, and most importantly, how to bring a unique feel to it. It's all part of study for me, so keeping at it My Hand is a bit stiff due to too low pressure sensitivity on tablet, had to change it later when realized my wrist is getting jammed and paining a lot.
