Best way to deal with shrinking down text and line shapes in photoshop.

Hi guys, for the face of a large radio model, i've got many layers of text and line "shapes" which form a complex dial along with its numbers, and also small decals. The text and lines are not rasterized yet, only the decals. The document is currently at 4096 resolution. Whats the best way to keep the text and lines as sharp as possible? Are there any tricks? My final results with just using the image resize function, resizing the entire psd file gives quite a blurry result. Just wondering if there is a better "secret" way.

Huh, so apply it to the model with a higher resolution, done within the game engine dev kit? I assume thats what you mean, thanks for the idea.

Nope. I mean create a separate texture just for the decals. This achieves three goals: 

1. Higher resolution for text etc.
2. No alpha channel needed for main texture, which saves memory.
3. Alpha blending only in decal material means better performance. In general, the less alpha blending surfaces, the better.
