Eyo, I'm gonna be taking over from here, gonna be doing the actual texture work for the gun! I'll update with a WIP of the new texture in just a bit. Excited to get to work! Millenia did a really great job translating my concept to the gun and adding his own special flair to it. Now to add mine!

Almost entirely done in 3ds Max, little bit of texture touchup in PS.

Getting some work in on the texture! Needs a bit more done, but progress is generally good on it so far, trying to make the weapon seen more 'worked' / real world.

That's what wear is for, right now it looks like it's field-tested. I would leave it like it was before, and not add any rust and let the wear system take care of that!

I don't agree, some of dirt and scrapes is okay to make the texture feel more real and of higher quality, having flat surface instead makes factory new skins look like plastic in a result. It is just important to keep balance imo, so it doesn't pan out of control.

BUT perhaps the amount of dirt is already being a bit too high if you are planning to make best flaot on factory new. I on mine skin which had scrapes on purpose as part of the design set best float on minimal wear to leave no doubts about it being intentional and by design.

Also, to address the earlier criticism regarding the grunge, myself and Millenia ( as well as a few other artists ) agreed that ultimately having the gun seem more beaten and 'alive' so to speak fit the Mil-Spec theme best, and generally made the gun look significantly better. Appreciate your kind words of encouragement and criticism folks! See you all next submission

i agree with the minimal wear as factory new. even the default weapon skins carry this trait - without it, they could sometimes look like a toy.
