I'm using Zbrush just as I use it on my PC but on my Laptop it collapses the whole mesh into about 1 or 3 vertices. Ive checked in preferences and there all maxed.

Hm, what are the specs of the laptop?

What's the total scene size (total points) of your zbrush file / subtool?

4522 points it does the same thing for each sub tool I try and dynamesh. Sometimes Zbrush just tells me its going to collapse the whole mesh into one point.

That's very weird. Probably the weirdest of ZB bugs I've heard! But I've never experienced it. Your specs shouldn't be an issue. Due to ZB's clever architecture you could run the 32bit version on a 10 yo machine and still sculpt in milions :)

You shouldn't max the settings in prefs as ZB automatically does this optimally per machine you install it on.
